A team of 32 LEGO fans decided to assemble a real size Rebel X-Wing combat fighter from the iconic science fiction saga, which includes 6 Star Wars movies.

It took the Lego Model Shop team from Kladno, Czech Republic, 17,000 hours (approximately 4 months) and 5,335,200 parts to assemble this aircraft from LEGO bricks.

Also, the fighter engine burns and roars, like in the movie.

The Rebel X-Wing, made of LEGO, is 13.1 meters long, 3.35 meters high, has a wingspan of 13.44 meters and weighs about 20,850 kilograms. Once assembled, it was transported to New York City.

The fighter model was improved from an engineering point of view to withstand transportation to New York. The goal was to deliver the LEGO miracle safe and sound to Times Square.

It is worth noting that the structure itself was reinforced with an internal metal skeleton so that it could be transported.

But the construction of this fighter was planned for a reason. The fact is that LEGO plans to use X-Wing to advertise a new three-part animated series “Lego Star Wars: The Yoda Chronicles”.
