Event tower
Seoul, the capital of South Korea, is now home to the world's tallest LEGO skyscraper, the LEGO World Tower. It was built to celebrate the 80th anniversary of LEGO, and the tower is 31.9 meters high. The previous record for the tallest LEGO tower belonged to France at 31.5 meters.
Over the course of five days, 4,000 happy participants collected pieces of the LEGO skyscraper. The construction team consisted of children who took part in the LEGO competition, joining the exciting game and building a record-breaking tower. The tower consists of 50,000 LEGO bricks in different colors. The individual assembled parts were put together in a temporary pavilion, and then they were laid on top of each other in the courtyard behind the Seoul Olympic City complex.
The construction of the tower was completed by the Crown Prince of Denmark, who flew to the ceremony to lay a “record” brick. LEGO enthusiasts have been building towers since 1988, and the very first one was built in London. Since then, about 30 towers have been built, each breaking the height record set by the previous towers, inspiring many teams to set their own world record.

The tower in South Korea is supported by a central rod and side cables. LEGO was the first branded toy to appear on the Korean market, and the company has numerous representatives in many Asian countries. This amazing tower was built to bring together families who can enjoy playing with LEGO toy blocks.
