10. Diamond Dawn
Closes the top 10 (or opens – which side to look at) Sunrise Diamond Beach Resort in Ras Umm el Sid Bay, famous for its luxurious coral reefs. Two-storey buildings with standard and family rooms are lined up right by the Red Sea, along their own beach with clean sand, free sun beds and canopies.
Gourmets are pleased with 4 restaurants — traditional buffet, oriental, Italian and Indian, as well as 6 bars with a decent assortment of drinks.
The rating on the “Booking” is 8.9: guests praise the renovated rooms, uninterrupted Wi-Fi, fascinating children’s animation and safety in 3 swimming pools.
9. Only for couples and families
The same rating is for the nearby “four” Albatros Aqua Blu for couples and families with children. It is separated from the sea by a photogenic embankment with cafes, bazaars and shops, and a regular free shuttle service is organized to the private beach of the Albatros Hotel with a delightful view of Mount Sinai.
The main feature is 8 adults and 3 children’s pools with 64 slides: Aqua Blu is part of the large—scale Aqua Park City complex.
At your leisure, you can relax in the spa or work out in the gym, go water biking, play tennis and mini golf. The restaurants serve Asian, Mediterranean and Italian cuisine, and drinks are served in the sports bar.
8. The Kingdom of Savoy
Royal Savoy is located in Sharks Bay near the airport. There are also stunning coral plateaus inhabited by lionfish, stingrays, napoleons and moray eels. The central square of Soho is noisy around, and inside there is an oasis of silence with palm trees, swimming pools and a private beach.
A spa with a bath, sauna, classical and hydro massage deserves special mention: procedures are carried out with medicinal herbs, essential oils and other natural beauty treasures of Egypt.
Continental breakfasts are served in the lounge, snacks are served there throughout the day, main meals and drinks are provided by 6 restaurants and 8 bars.
7. Ultra-comfort
Rixos Sharm El Sheikh operates on the “ultra all inclusive” system, which means that it spoils food, drinks and service to the maximum. The hotel is built in the north-east of Sharma, in Nabka with refreshing winds, a gentle coast ideal for children and a nature reserve of the same name with strange birds.
For a fee, the whims of guests are performed by a personal butler: however, only on the beach and in gazebos near the pool.
Rixos is a whole mini—town with a palm grove, 11 swimming pools, a spa, a “gym” and sports grounds. Each room has a balcony or terrace, 7 restaurants have a sea, Turkish, Japanese, Chinese, Italian and Indian menu. Kids are entertained in a children’s club, adults — at night, under the open sky on the beach.
6. Holidays for adults
Sunrise Grand Select Montemare already specifies in the title: Adults Only. No children’s parties and screeching by the pools: it is no coincidence that weddings and honeymoons are held in romantic decorations. If you get out of bed and sun loungers, then only to the spa center with massage and individual wellness programs, and you will want activities – there is diving, snorkeling, billiards and tennis.
The international restaurant serves buffets, and Asian, fish, Italian and Oriental offer an a la carte menu.
The hotel earned a rating of 9.1 thanks to impeccable service, comfortable beds (Adults Only after all), fast Wi-Fi, clean rooms, varied food and unexpected silence – as if not Egypt, but some Maldives. They rarely write about the disadvantages: lazy animation, entering the water from a pontoon (corals and sea urchins near the shore), lack of freshly squeezed juices on the beach.
5. Arab Sunrise
Sunrise Grand Select Arabian Beach — oriental chic in a modern way. The traditional Arabic-style rooms are equipped with air conditioning, safes, mini-bars with free mineral water, LCD TVs with satellite channels.
The hotel is surrounded by a garden, a private beach with pretty gazebos looks at the island of Tirana.
Guests are treated to Indian, Thai, Italian and French restaurants, a coffee shop, a lounge bar and an international buffet. The spa center has a hydro massage, steam bath and sauna, treatments can be enjoyed right on the beach. Adherents of active leisure play golf and tennis, surf and dive.
The list of advantages includes refined service, spacious rooms, convenient airport transfer, delicious food and attention to young visitors: restaurants have a special children’s menu, animators cope even with fidgets. What is missing is a separate section with a sandy bottom for kids who are not able to descend from the pontoon.
4. Four successful seasons
Four Seasons in Sharks Bay is a representative of the legendary network, which is difficult to find fault with. This is really 5*: elegant interiors, impeccably furnished family rooms and apartments with balconies and terraces, luxury service and a kaleidoscope of additional options.
The main magnets are the famous Daniela Steiner Beauty Spa with treatments based on natural ingredients and the picturesque coast with a coral reef.
5 restaurants serve dishes of different nations, you can taste goodies right by the pool, and drinks in one of the 3 lounges. There is also a hairdresser, a beauty salon, a gym and a children’s club.
The rating is 9.3, and instead of praises, we will retell the story of a visitor whose child dragged pebbles from the beach to the room every day. One day a note appeared on the table: “We noticed that you are interested in stones, so keep 20 more types” — and a whole collection of artifacts in addition.
There are also shortcomings: the high cost of alcohol and spa, overcrowding of the beach, a modest choice of entertainment for kids. The price of the rooms (superior — from 320 USD, suites — from 520 USD per day for two) includes only breakfast.
3. Tales of Scheherazade
Those who prefer privacy even to the most luxurious hotels will like Villa Shahrazad in Nabq. There are only 7 rooms, decorated in warm colors, in an elegant minimalist style. Spacious living room, equipped bathrooms, kitchen with stove and refrigerator — full autonomy is guaranteed.
In the courtyard there is a swimming pool with a waterfall and a hydro massage, a terrace with sun loungers, a barbecue and a blooming garden.
The hosts arrange a transfer from the airport (it is 4 km away) and help with car rental (parking on site is free). Guests are grateful for the spaciousness and comfort, the well—groomed interior and exterior space, and most importantly, for the hospitality of the host – he does not just fulfill desires, but literally guesses them. Only mosquitoes, remoteness from restaurants and not always serviceable Wi-Fi are bothering.
The villa is rented as a whole, at least for a couple of days, you can come in together or with up to 14 people, the cost of living will not change — from 355 USD for 2 nights.
2. Gateway to the sea
Rixos Seagate is another “ultra all inclusive” hit on our chart. No traps: the price really includes accommodation, buffet and meals in 6 a la carte restaurants — international, Chinese, Italian, Lebanese, with seafood and modern cuisine. And also — drinks in the executive lounge and 9 bars, access to the water park and the Underwater World complex.
The hotel is exclusively for spouses and families with children, for whom there are all conditions: play areas, animation, a separate restaurant and swimming pools, as well as a club for teenagers from 13 years old.
Adults will enjoy a spa with a sauna, a beauty salon and a therapeutic room, a gym, a nightclub, tennis, diving, snorkeling and beach soccer. Rating 9.3 — for a neat territory, delicious food, thorough cleaning, high-quality (and really free) alcohol and pool parties. It remains to put more trash cans, hone cocktail recipes and spa menus – and it will be even closer to the ideal.
1. New Star
Steigenberger Alcazar opened in 2016, but has already soared to the first line of the “booking” rating. A fresh “five” in a 15-minute drive from the airport beckons with a beach of 30 thousand square meters, a coral reef, heated pools and comfortable rooms.
2 restaurants serve a buffet, 5 more work on the menu, they are backed up by bars in the lobby, by the pool and on the beach.
Children are under the constant supervision of animators in the club and individual pools, adults entrust themselves to the caring hands of spa masters. The guests are satisfied with the food (especially breakfast), the attention of the staff, entertainment — a thorough German approach is visible in everything. It’s a bit far to the center of Naama Bay, Wi-Fi sometimes fails, but overall the impressions are wonderful.
