GPS coordinates: 43.750000, 111.833333.
One of the largest deserts in the world, as well as the largest desert in Asia is the Gobi. It stretched for more than one and a half thousand kilometers. Surprisingly, sand occupies only about 3% of the total area of the desert — the rest of it is occupied by weathered rocks and rocky plateaus.
The climate of the Gobi has been unchanged for more than 65 million years — in summer the temperature can reach +45 degrees, and in winter it can drop as much as -40 degrees. Despite the harsh weather, some animals adapt to life in such a desert. Wolves, bears, saigas, ground squirrels, voles, lizards and other interesting animals live here.

At the entrance to the monastery, at the main gate, guests observe the majestic figures of the Maharans. According to legend, these are the figures of 4 royal geniuses living on different sides of Mount Sumeru. They guard the peace of the whole world. There are 3 tourist bases near the monastery.
It is also distinguished from other complexes by its special symmetry and stylistic unity. All structures located on the territory of this complex are made in a strict style and are located along the axis from north to south.

Museum of the History of Religion Manzushir
Coordinates: 47.764444, 106.992222.
A rather interesting museum is already attracting attention with its location, because it is located right inside the temple, destroyed in 1938. This monastery was built in 1733 and served as the residence of the Khubilgans.
Today, tourists can touch the great history of Mongolia in the Museum of the History of Religion Manzushir, which presents visitors with various collections of masks, old photographs, statues, portraits and furniture from private chambers that have survived to this day.
You can independently see interesting artifacts not only inside the building, but also outside. Right above the monastery, on the rock, it is not difficult to see the ancient rock paintings of the Buddha and inscriptions in the Mongolian language.
