Fig-Three Bay
Tiny coves are located along the entire coastline of Protaras, but one of them stands out in particular. This is the picturesque Fig Tree Bay, a cult holiday destination (there is another name in the guidebooks – Fig Tree Bay). Once this beach was decorated with a powerful fig tree.
Protaras Historical Museum
Despite the fact that the museum collection reflects the history of Protaras, there are practically no exhibits from the period of antiquity or the era of Ancient Byzantium, but the art and life of the locals of the 19th century are presented in great detail. However, the absence of ancient exhibits does not devalue the exhibition at all.
Liopetri
When you realize that you have visited all the surrounding beaches of Protaras, explored all its attractions, walked along and across all the embankments and parks, and you can easily reach the singing fountains or the historical museum with your eyes closed, turn your gaze to the surroundings of the town.
The Kavo Greco National Forest Park
Near Protaras has a paradise where you can combine a calm contemplative vacation with active sports. This is the Kavo Greco National Forest Park, located in the east of Cape Greco. It was created to preserve the unique nature of this territory.
Dancing fountains in Protaras
The small resort town of Protaras has its own show of dancing fountains Magic Dancing Waters. Although it is inferior in scale to similar performances in Barcelona or Dubai, it is included in the list of must-see when visiting Cyprus.
