Agora of Smyrna
The remains of the ancient Agora of Smyrna today are located in the Namazgah quarter of the world, on the northern slopes of the Pagos hills, and are an open-air museum. The agora was used up to the Byzantine period and is very well preserved.

Assancer
The word “asancer” almost one-on-one copies the French term and literally translates from Turkish as “elevator”. The Asancer in Izmir is one of the most “postcard” attractions. Perhaps this fame is greatly overblown, since, for example, city museums and mosques are much more significant and interesting.

Izmir Archaeological Museum
Izmir, with its history of more than 8,500 years, has seen many powerful civilizations, and its archaeological museum has an excellent collection of evidence of bygone eras. It is one of the first museums in Western Anatolia. It was founded in 1924 and opened to the public in 1927.

Aphrodisias
Away from the noisy resorts and high roads, on the outskirts of the village of Geire, the marble columns of one of the most interesting ancient cities of Asia Minor — Aphrodisias – rise into the sky. The old buildings have been preserved so completely here.

Izmir Zoo
Izmir Zoo is home to more than 1,500 wild and domesticated animals of approximately 120 species, including birds and reptiles, as well as endangered species. The park gives visitors the opportunity to look at animals in an environment close to their natural habitat.
