Today we will consider several mysterious lakes, where a person’s foot does not really like to enter. This is a series of lakes with their own smells and oddities, you can’t swim here or people themselves are afraid of it.
What do we have in the first place? This is a lake in Kazakhstan called “Kaindy Lake”. It has been established that the water in this water body is so cold that it is not possible for any living organism to survive.
That’s why there are no fish, beavers, or even people in the lake. Everyone who dared to swim there died. The water does not heat up even in very high and hot weather.
And the “trick” of this lake is that the trees in it have gone under the water and now their sharp tops stick out here. All this was the result of an earthquake that happened here once.
In second place is the “Blue Lake”, which is located near Kabardino-Balkaria. The peculiarity of such a unique lake is that the water in it smells like “rotten eggs” due to the hydrogen sulfide released. It is formed not due to currents from sea or river waters, but due to underground currents from caves.
No one dares to go down and study this lake, since the depth of the lake is more than 200 meters and, according to scientists, it is constantly increasing. Once one of the foreign divers tried his hand here and it is clear that he did not return from the depths. Currently, this lake is not really studied.
In third place is the “Lost Lake” – a body of water in the mountains of Arizona. The strangeness of this lake is that it disappears completely and this is not due to the heat in the mountains.
The thing is that in summer the lake with a depth of 3 meters becomes just green grass for the following reason. Several holes in the ground left after the volcano completely “drain” the water in the lake, whereas closer to winter, streams fill the reservoir again due to snow and rain.
