What are ghosts
Most often, people see the ghosts of dead people or relatives they know. But in fact, a ghost can appear in any guise, including as an animal, plant, or inanimate object.

According to eyewitnesses, most paranormal events occur near battlefields, cemeteries, schools, as well as in homes and apartments.
If you sometimes hear strange noises and voices in your house, objects fall off the table by themselves, or you hear someone breathing at night, you may have a ghost in your house. However, ghosts are different — some behave quietly, and the owners do not even suspect that they live next to an otherworldly creature. They can only be calculated using rituals or technical means.
How to detect a ghost using technical devices

From time immemorial, people have used various means to search for and scare away ghosts, be they mirrors, various household items, spells, rituals. But today we'll talk about technical devices that catch ghosts.
According to paranormal experts, ghosts can be detected using the following technical devices:
Thermometer/thermal imager/ infrared camera. The temperature in the ghost's location is slightly lower than in the environment. Therefore, any means that can measure ambient temperature can be useful for detecting paranormal phenomena and ghosts.
Film camera. It is believed that the white round spots that remain in the photographs are the souls of the dead. Sometimes you can see a ghost if a mirror is in the frame.
Magnetometer. Ghosts cause disturbances in the magnetic field.
Sound recorder/radio. Since ghosts make sounds at ultra-low frequencies that are not heard by the human ear, they can only be heard on audio recordings. Ghosts also communicate via radio waves.
Less commonly, ghosts are identified using equipment that measures the speed of air flows (ghosts create swirls in the air).
How a smartphone detects ghosts
In addition to the video camera, the smartphone works as a sound recorder and magnetometer. All smartphone apps designed to search for ghosts are based on two phenomena:
Electronic Voice Phenomenon (EVP)

This phenomenon was discovered in the middle of the last century by Swedish producer F. Jurgenson, who, while recording the voices of birds on magnetic tape, then heard a barely distinguishable male voice on the recording, talking about birdsong. The phenomenon was that no one was near Jurgenson during the recording, and after checking the radio broadcasts on all nearby radio stations, he realized that nothing like this was being broadcast on the radio that day. Jurgenson could only draw one conclusion: a voice from the other world was on the tape.
The electronic voice phenomenon is confirmed by many people around the world, but official science can neither prove nor disprove this phenomenon.
The smartphone is an excellent sound recorder that can capture sounds at ultra-low frequencies, and is quite suitable for detecting electronic voices, as well as for transcribing recorded speech.
Electromagnetic field change (EMF)

Paranormal experts say that people see ghosts because any event that takes place on Earth is forever remembered by its magnetic field. In other words, the past does not disappear without a trace, but stays with us in the form of magnetic field disturbances that some people, due to their individual characteristics, can see, hear and feel.
Most modern smartphones are equipped with a Hall sensor, a device that captures magnetic fields. It captures the moment you remove the case from your phone and makes the phone screen light up. But it can also be used as a magnetometer to detect ghosts.
If your smartphone is not yet a year old, it most likely has a Hall sensor. If you are not sure about this, check the device manual for it.

Ghost Search Apps
So, we came to the conclusion that you can hunt a ghost using a smartphone. On Google Play and the App Store, you'll find several apps whose creators claim they can be used to find ghosts.
Ghost Hunting Tools

What this app is for:
The application calculates the presence of perfumes using a magnetic field and allows you to decipher their words recorded thanks to EEG (electronic voice effect).
How to use the app:
Launch the app and start exploring your apartment (home or any other area). The app will detect points of paranormal activity by recording changes in the magnetic field between 2 and 6 milligauss, as can be seen in the interactive diagram at the top of the screen.
The diagram in the center of the screen will allow you to accurately identify the places of anomalous magnetic field activity in which ghosts may be located — they will be highlighted in red. Stop at a place like this and don't move while the app is recording audio and calculating the effect of the electronic voice.
At points of increased magnetic induction, the application will record and analyze sound by scanning the FM range. After a while (depending on the power of your device), the app will decipher the words that the ghost says — they will appear in the center of the screen.
Spirit Radar

When you launch the application, you will hear strange and slightly scary sounds, and on the screen you will see everything that your phone's camera captures, but in a negative way. In the settings, you can change the shooting mode to “thermal imager” or “night shooting”. You can also adjust the phone's sensitivity to changes in the electromagnetic field in the settings.
At the bottom of the screen is a round green radar screen. When a ghost is detected, a white dot appears on the radar. Based on the radar, approach the ghost. When your location matches a point on the radar, you'll see a ghost on the screen.
When you see a ghost, try not to break your phone against the wall out of fear — most likely, he doesn't want to hurt you!
At the top of the screen, you will find a button with the image of a radio receiver — it opens a window for transcribing an electronic voice. The application checks FM frequencies, analyzes voices at ultra-low frequencies, and displays their transcription on the screen. This way you'll know what the ghost is talking about. Perhaps he will contact you, talk about what is happening around you, or tell you a secret.
To the left of the radar, you'll find the Rituals button – by clicking it, you'll find a large collection of accurate instructions for performing perfume calling rituals. Moreover, the developers have taken care of you and have clearly identified which ghosts are safe to call, which are dangerous, and which are too dangerous (consider whether to call them).

Ghost Detector Radar

This app is a lot like Sprit Radar. There is an additional opportunity to talk to the ghost — you can ask him the following questions:
what is his name;
what is his gender, age;
what are his intentions;
does he want to harm you.
The ghost's answers are displayed in an obscure ancient language — fortunately, the app automatically translates it into human language.

Ghost camera

The principle of the application is the same — you see on the screen everything that the phone's camera captures. To search in the dark, turn on the flashlight.
Search for the location of the ghost, focus on the sound signal, as well as on the numbers:
Spirit activity indices; Demon activity
index;
Level of strange interference;
Paranormal activity.
When you start approaching the ghost, there will be interference, distortions on the screen, the image may turn red, and a creepy afterlife voice (not very similar to a human voice) will appear. If you search well, you'll eventually see a translucent spirit on screen.
Unlike previous apps, you can find out not only the ghost's name, age and gender, but also the year of his death, height and weight, and even give him a QR code.

The ghost in the camera (radar joke)

If you're not going to be looking for ghosts, but just want to prank a friend, this app is the best fit.
At the beginning, the app prompts you to choose a ghost to scare your friend with. Then you'll see everything the phone's camera captures on the screen in a changed light. A beep and a bar at the top of the screen will alert you when you're approaching a ghost. After a while, he will appear on the screen to eerie afterlife sounds. Make sure your friend has strong nerves.

Precautions
Children under 16 years of age are not allowed to use these types of applications, as they can cause severe fear for young people.
It should also be noted that the authors of all the applications described above do not give any guarantees that their applications really help find ghosts.
