More recently, the Internet was blown up by an infographic demonstrating the effect of Coca-Cola on our body.

Now former pharmacist Niraj Naik has decided to show us what's going on in our body an hour after you drink Diet Coke.
Nirage, who goes by the pseudonym The Renegade Pharmacist, detailed how a jar of this sugar-free drink can have a negative effect on your body, from your teeth to your waist.
Diet Coke or Cola Light

In 10 minutes: Tricks your taste buds and affects your teeth
Phosphoric acid attacks your tooth enamel, while artificial sweeteners like aspartame enter your system. Aspartame can trick your taste buds into thinking it's processing sugar.
After 20 minutes: switches to fat deposition mode
Like regular Coca-Cola, Diet Cola triggers insulin, which puts your body into fat storage mode. A number of studies have shown that there is an increase in the risk of developing type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure and heart disease.
After 40 minutes: May be addictive
The combination of caffeine and aspartame results in a short “high” that is addictive in the same way that cocaine works. Excitotoxins are produced that deplete your brain by over-stimulating its neuroreceptors, especially if you drink Diet Coke regularly.
After 60 minutes: It deprives you of nutrients, makes you hungry and thirsty
Unlike the satisfaction you get after regular Coca-Cola, after Diet Cola, your body may be demanding sweets. This is likely to cause you to drink another can of Cola or take another defective food that you consider safe, and the cycle will continue.
A can of Diet Coke does not provide you with nutrients and replaces a more nutritious drink, depriving your body of essential minerals.
It will not quench your thirst, as it dehydrates you rather than provides you with liquid. Lack of water can lead to blurred consciousness, poor concentration, fatigue, and irritability.
The harm of aspartame sweetener
All drinks with similar ingredients will have the same or similar effect.
In fact, drinks that contain aspartame are more harmful to the body than those that contain sugar.
Studies have shown that diet cola increases the risk of developing diabetes more than regular sugary drinks. Sweeteners are more addictive and a thousand times sweeter than regular sugar.
In addition, sweeteners cause a drop in the level of the hunger-suppressing hormone leptin, so Diet Coke makes you hungry and you don't get enough of your usual amount of food.
Finally, when you consume chemicals that your body can't process, you produce more internal fat, which envelops harmful substances and prevents them access to vital organs.
Healthy drinks instead of diet soda

· If you can't give up sugary sodas, look for drinks with stevia (a natural sweetener).
· Drink non-carbonated mineral water with fresh lemon or lime and honey if you prefer a sweet taste.
· Drink green tea if you want the energizing effect of caffeine without nervousness. L-theanine contained in green tea counteracts the negative effects of caffeine on the nervous system and increases alpha waves in the brain.
· Kefir is not only tasty, but also rich in probiotics that have a beneficial effect on the digestive system.
· Learn to make smoothies or smoothies with fruits and vegetables that are not only delicious but also rich in vitamins and minerals.
An interesting experiment
