Many people believe that during the hot summer months, people with allergies and asthma have the most acute seizures.
In fact, according to Dr. Clifford Basset, Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at Long Island Hospital, during the cold winter months, patients need more drugs, as people spend much more time indoors in winter.
Those, in turn, are filled with various allergens, such as dust mites. To protect themselves from them, the doctor offers allergy sufferers simple tips for cleaning the rooms more thoroughly, and in his opinion it is also important to use an air filter in the room and maintaining a constant level of humidity in the house (40-45%).
As for asthma, and especially periods of its exacerbation in winter, in this case, the doctor proposed and justified his own way to maintain a stable condition. In his opinion, the exacerbations during this period are due to stale artificial Christmas trees and candles. In this case, he advises buying beeswax or soy wax candles, and getting rid of last year's Christmas trees.
