Scientists say that vitamin complexes can harm your health. People who take multivitamins on a regular basis may develop a false sense of protection and invincibility in the face of viruses and infections.

A group of researchers from Taiwan conducted an experiment among 82 volunteers. Participants were divided into two groups, with every single group receiving a placebo, but one group was told they were being given multivitamins.

A week later, the researchers asked participants a few questions to find out the consequences. As a result, those who believed they were taking multivitamins had a higher percentage of casual sex. In addition, they consumed more alcohol and were more likely to participate in various parties and nightclubs. These people were overly confident in their health and physical abilities. They ignored healthy eating and exercise, which makes people more lazy.

The results of the experiment proved that people believe that vitamins make them less sensitive to diseases and the development of various kinds of complications. As a result, they become lazy and act more impulsively. Of course, this attitude is nothing but self-deception. Multivitamins are only harmful to most people. For older women, for example, it is generally dangerous to take them, because there is a risk of death. Uncontrolled consumption of vitamins containing iron, copper, magnesium, folic acid, and vitamin B6 can lead to premature death.

The researchers interviewed more than 40,000 women over the age of 60. Each of them completed questionnaires in which they spoke about whether and how much they consumed vitamins in 1986, 1997 and 2004. As a result, most women who took vitamins have now passed away. Scientists do not yet have an answer to the question of how multivitamins can lead to premature death.
