And a resident of Northern California, USA, a certain William Henry Oller, 70, tried to kill his 50-year-old son William Cara Oller for not enjoying his offspring's performance musical composition in karaoke.
According to authorities, a quarrel between father and son took place in the son's house. Dad decided to visit the child, spend some time with him and sing his favorite country songs in karaoke. However, according to William Oller Sr., Oller Jr.'s musical talents did not stand up to scrutiny.
Offended by his son's lack of hearing, Oller shot the failed singer with a gun. It is not reported where Oller Sr. got the gun with him, but the country music enthusiast had permission for it. Perhaps he didn't like the way his son sang his favorite North American folk music songs for a long time, so he carried his gun to visit — waiting for the opportunity!
Oller Sr.'s lawyers say that there is no evidence that his father shot his son intentionally (thank God the latter survived, although he was hospitalized with several injuries).
