Here are 10 of the most exciting new world records:

Guinness records 2013

1. The tallest dog

The most frequently asked question Denise Doorlag, the owner of the Great Dane Zeus living in Michigan, is “Is this a dog or a horse?” Of course this is a dog whose height, measured in October 2011, was 1.12 meters from legs to withers, and which can rise up to 2.2 meters by standing on its hind legs.

2. Most basket throws made by a parrot

Does such a category really exist, you might say. Most likely, it appeared only after the world found out about Zach, a parrot from California in the United States. This parrot can make 22 throws in a minute into a miniature basketball hoop. Zach also has a 100-word vocabulary and holds the world record for the most cans of soda opened by a parrot in 60 seconds.

3. The smallest helicopter

The smallest helicopter in the world, the GEN H-4, with a main rotor length of almost 4 meters, was created by the Japanese company Gen Corporation. This helicopter, together with one seat, one chassis and engine, weighs only 70 kg, which is about the same as the weight of a person sitting in it. The helicopter has two sets of coaxial propellers of opposite rotation, which makes it possible to do without a tail rotor. Just grab the visor, as it doesn't have a windshield.

4. Biggest biceps

Egyptian Mostafa Ismail may have the biggest biceps you've ever seen. His left arm circumference is 62.2 cm when relaxed and swells to 65 cm when he shows his muscles, which are larger than his average head circumference. Ismail spent 11 years of his life exercising six times a week and eating six times a day, trying to build his biceps. He dreams of participating in a “natural” bodybuilding competition.

5. The tallest living horse

The record for the tallest horse belongs to 11-year-old gelding Big Jake from Wisconsin in the USA, whose height reaches 210.2 cm. Of course, such a horse is not so easy to climb, and it is unlikely that you will be able to stand next to him to measure his height, as he, like most horses, is not very accustomed to strangers.

6. Most facial piercings

Looking at Axel Rosales's face, it's scary to even think how much piercing he has all over his body. Rosales from Argentina set the record for the most facial piercings with 280 in February 2012. Just imagine how much it all weighs.

7. The shortest bull

This list included some of the tallest members of the animal kingdom, but it is rare to find an animal designed to impress with its size and grow to only 76 cm. Archie, a 16-month-old dexter from Northern Ireland, is the shortest bull, whose height is measured from hooves to withers.

8. The biggest shoe collection

Darlene Flynne from California boasts a collection of 15,665 pieces of shoes she collected over the 12 years after her divorce. This collection includes a variety of shoes, including even glass shoes and real works of art in the form of shoes.

9. The tallest Mohican hairstyle

Japanese Katsuhiro Watanabe has the tallest Mohican hairstyle, which reaches a height of 113.5 cm. It took 15 years to grow such a Katsuro tuft, and it takes about 2 hours of stylists, three bottles of hairspray and one to proudly withstand the onslaught of the environment. gel jar.

10. The biggest selling hot dog

Imagine a 3-kilogram hot dog as a snack. Gorilla Tango Novelty Meats made this commercially available hot dog in Chicago. Commercially available means that it is sold in a store and you can take it home and feed yourself and your family and your neighbors.
