Unbelievable facts
The Darwin Prize is an unofficial award given to humankind's stupidest representatives. It was named after Charles Darwin, the father of evolution, to recognize those who improved the gene pool by withdrawing.
It can be said that this prize is awarded for natural selection in action. These people were so stupid that they hurt themselves or died for completely ridiculous reasons.
It may be a little harsh to celebrate someone's passing, but it might be a lesson for someone in the future.
Some of these stories unwittingly make us smile, others make us cringe.
The stupidest deaths
1. An Australian woman starved to death, believing she could survive on nothing but sunlight. She didn't eat or drink for a week, hoping to get all her nutrients from the sun. The autopsy revealed that starvation was the only cause of her death.
2. After President Barack Obama's second election in 2012, Florida man Henry Hamilton decided to take his own life.
3. Natasha Harris, a 30-year-old woman from New Zealand, died after drinking 10 liters of cola a day.
4. A woman died of a drug overdose after celebrating a new job as a drug counselor.
5. Geronimo Narciso, a drunk 37-year-old man from the Philippines, shot through his genitals while intoxicated and died.
6. The woman underwent gastric bypass surgery to reduce her stomach to the size of a walnut. She ate huge portions anyway and died choking on food that had accumulated in her esophagus.
7. The man went swimming in the river, knowing that there is one of the largest populations of crocodiles there. It was eaten by a crocodile.

8. The man died while trying to take a selfie, leaning a gun against his head, accidentally pressing his right hand instead of his left hand.
9. A Portland man was doing push-ups in the middle of the street at 4 a.m., when a car ran over him and killed him.
10. An Argentine woman died trying to enlarge her breasts with petroleum jelly injections.
11. Two people from China died and four were injured when they tried to fish a $320 phone that fell into the toilet from a cesspool.
12. Jose Ochoa's husband cut himself with a razor he attached to his combat rooster, ran away from the police bleeding, refused medical attention, and died of bleeding.
13. A Mexican student died after taking methamphetamine at the San Diego border in an attempt to convince police that it was just apple juice.
14. Matthew Nesmith, a man, shot himself in the head trying to prove to his girlfriend that he knew how to win Russian roulette.

15. Two Kenyan men were killed while taking selfies with a wild elephant. A frightened animal trampled them.
16. A 20-year-old factory worker ate a white tiger lunch at the Delhi Zoo in India. The man was repeatedly warned not to climb over the fence, and he fell into the enclosure, after which he was torn to pieces by an animal.
17. Two drunken men decided to compete in courage at a train station in Rotterdam. One of them lay on the rails trying to prove that the train would pass over him, and his friend leaned closer to the rails. A few seconds later, they were hit and killed by a train.
