Incredible facts

Tim Friede, an unemployed American, was so confident that he decided to test his own theory by letting a black mamba bite himself.

The man claims that he was able to gain immunity to snake venom, and lest people doubt, he allowed a dangerous snake to bite his hand.

According to Friede, he became immune to the poisons of the world's most dangerous snakes after deliberately allowing snakes to bite himself more than 100 times, as well as after using certain injections.

He recently posted photos showing the bite of a water cobra snake, while standing as if nothing had happened. Friede says he did this to the deadliest snakes on Earth, including the black mamba.

Black mamba bite

It's worth noting that black mamba venom can kill anyone in about 20 minutes. According to Friede, 45, his experiments can help produce an antitoxin against snake venom for people living in third world countries, where black mamba bites are not uncommon, and deaths from such the bite is 100%.

Most people affected by this snake live below the poverty line in Asia and Africa.

Antitoxin against snake venom

At the moment, the manufacture of antitoxin is quite expensive. To create it, venom is first squeezed out of a snake (spider or insect), then it is diluted and injected into a horse, sheep or duck.

Then they expect a response from the immune system, as a result of which antibodies against active poison molecules are produced. These antibodies are then produced in the animal's blood and are used to fight poison poisoning.

“When people see what I'm doing, they usually swear or ask me if I'm going to die. The photos prove that I'm immune. This is the only way people can believe this, and that the way to develop immunity on their own really works, “says the American.

“It takes a very high level of mental stress to pack up and let yourself be bitten. Injecting venom is one thing, but letting a venomous snake bite you is quite another thing,” he explains.

Immunotherapy

“What I'm doing is called poison immunotherapy. I dilute the poison protein injections to strengthen my immune system over time. This creates strong antibodies that surround the poison and neutralize it, so I'm not lying. It's the same way they create antibodies in horses, and I just cross the horse out of this whole scheme. I'm taking her place myself.”

Nevertheless, there are some consequences, and one of them is anaphylactic shock is an instant allergic reaction, which is accompanied by increased body sensitivity that develops during secondary introduction allergen. In some cases, this can be fatal.

The image shows Frida's swollen hand. The swelling is caused by its own antibodies – in other words, the body attacks itself.

Of course, a man monitors his condition and regularly undergoes kidney and liver examinations.

“I have a specific plan and only time will tell if I will be able to implement it. I hope that with my help it will be possible to create a vaccine that can save 125,000 people who die from snake bites every year,” says Friede.

Black mamba (photos & facts)

Life cycle: 11 years or more

Size: 4.3 meters or more

Weight: up to 1.6 kg

* The black mamba is one of the fastest snakes on Earth, capable of reaching a travel speed of 20 km/h.

* The black mamba uses its speed more to avoid threats than to hunt.

* The black mamba is a rather shy creature, and would rather crawl away than fight.

* If it is cornered, the snake will stand “on its hind legs” – raise about a third of its body – open its mouth and begin to defend itself. It attacks at least 2 times to inject as much poison into the opponent's body as possible.

* The black mamba is a nervous and aggressive creature – it is considered the world's deadliest snake.

* The word “black” in the name does not come from the skin color, which is usually olive gray, but because of the inner color of the mouth they show when they are threatened.
