Everyone knows that breast milk is the best food for an infant, but not everyone realizes how unique it is. Many manufacturers of infant formula claim that they can reproduce components of breast milk. However, experts have recently discovered 100 components of breast milk that cannot be recreated in infant formula.

Nutrient levels such as carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins and minerals often differ significantly in breast milk and formula.

When it comes to carbohydrate content, breast milk is superior to artificial formula. The same goes for lactose levels. Scientists have previously shown that lactose contributes to better brain development.

Defenders of artificial mixtures have tried to prove that the formula contains more protein and iron than breast milk. However, while this is true, both protein and iron in breast milk are much more easily absorbed by the baby. In other words, bigger doesn't always mean better.

In addition, the higher content of certain vitamins and minerals in infant formula can actually only harm babies by undermining the balance in the intestines, which leads to various problems with health.

Breast milk also contains live antibodies that are transmitted from mother to child, which cannot be recreated in an artificial formula.
